In addition to sharing a base, the 2.5-liter hybrid powerplant

offered in both the Lexus NX and the Toyota RAV4 is one of their shared

powertrain choices. The RAV4 places a strong emphasis on toughness and capabilities, which

translates to suspension parts that are better designed for off-road exploration and are thus harder.

This feeling permeates the cabin as well since it lacks the NX's sense of elegance inside.

However, this is intentional as Lexus is Toyota's premium division. Rather, the RAV4 concentrates on a simple, intuitive design that maximizes the functionality of the tough SUV.
